Directions*:
• Take US 101 N (130 miles)
• Take Exit 231 CA-46 (toward Fresno/Bakersfield)
• Turn Right onto CA-46 E (25 miles)
• Keep Left onto CA-41 N (85 miles)
• Take Exit 128A CA-180 E (toward Kings Canyon) (60 miles) **
• Turn Right onto Hume Lake Road (just after Princess Campground)
• In 4 miles you should arrive at Hume Lake Christian Camp
• Cross the small bridge onto Ten Mile Road (.5 mile)
• Turn Right onto Aspen Hollow Lane
• Aspen Hollow Campground will be at the end
* Cell service is not available in much of the area surrounding Hume Lake. We highly recommend you print or save a photo of the directions for reference in the likelihood that you will lose connection to the internet, and phone calls. If needed, wifi is available at the Hume administration building for a fee.
** In order to camp in the Sequoia National Forest you must purchase a Vehicle Pass ($35). As you approach Hume Lake Road on CA-180 E there will be a toll booth where you can purchase pass, however, if you would prefer to purchase one before hand you can do so here.
Camping:
• We have reserved the best and largest group campground in Hume Lake
• Provided in our Campground: Toilets, Potable Water
• Provided by Calvary: Dinners, Worship, Some Seating, Fire, Limited Electricity (via generators), Some Group Activities
• What to Bring: Bible (not your phone), tent (trailer or RV*), sleeping bag, mat, pillow, warm clothes, swim wear, towel, sunscreen, toiletries, flashlight (headlamp), dishes, utensils, water bottle, food (breakfast, lunch & snack stuff), camping chair, bug repellent, and anything else to make your camping experience a success
• Optional: Fishing stuff, bike, SUP & Kayak**, activities and games
• Hume has a General Store and Snack Shack if you would like to purchase general items, fishing licenses, snacks, and even lunches
* RV: There are no hookups or ways to fill your water tank once at Hume. Please fill before hand.
** Bring or Rent Stand Up Paddle Boards and Kayaks through Hume Lake.
Devotional Time:
We will be doing our group devotional time in the evening with worship & a teaching. Every family is encouraged to have their own morning devotional time apart from the group. Think and pray about how your family can draw closer to Jesus during this time.
Lodging:
If you would like to join us for the fun but aren’t interested in tent camping you may be able to find alternative places to stay around the area or rent an RV/Trailer.
