Fulcrum
OUR MISSION
Our mission at Fulcrum is to see high school students develop a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. After 4 years in Fulcrum, we want students to be ready and willing to take a stand and make an impact for the Kingdom of God. We believe that the foremost way to accomplish this mission is through intentional discipleship.
OUR NAME
The name Fulcrum comes from the idea that, for many students, their time in high school is the pivot point, or fulcrum, where they decide to live for Jesus or for the world. In the midst of the many challenges students will face, our desire is to see them grounded in their faith and authentically following Jesus.
OUR METHOD
We seek to disciple our students in several different ways:
The Word: We teach verse by verse through the bible to equip our students with both biblical knowledge and a biblical worldview.
Worship: Musical worship is an integral part of our gathering together. Each service we spend time before and after the message singing praises to the Lord. We also have a “Worship Workshop” that teaches students the heart of worship as well as the practical skills they need to lead in the group.
Camps and Events: We give students the opportunity to connect with other believers in the same age group by holding quarterly camps, monthly events, and weekly gatherings.
Small Groups and Student Leadership: For students that want to go deeper, small groups offer the opportunity to share life and pray for each other, while student leadership focuses on learning to “wash the feet” of the people around them.
Mission Trips: We put what we have learned in church into action outside of it. We generally go on a Spring Break Mission Trip to Mexico and a semi-annual Summer Mission Trip in August.
Most importantly, we want students to understand the truth and importance of the Gospel and be thoroughly equipped to follow Jesus as they step out of adolescence and into adulthood.
