What is “MUD”?

Men Under Discipleship, all of us have been commissioned by Jesus to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20) and to be fishers of men (Matthew 4:19). MUD groups are designed to create an organic & fruitful environment for men to mature in their faith. The Kingdom's mission is that men will follow Jesus in such a way that their lives will be transformed and the abundant life in Christ will overflow to their homes, workplaces, friendships, and community with Gospel Life! This lines up with our Church vision that men will love God more, love one another, and love their community.  

Who? Men who call Calvary Chapel their Home Church. Our prayer is to connect every man in our Church body to be a part of a MUD group. Are other Men welcomed to join from outside Calvary? Yes...absolutely, we pray the Lord catches many men in our city! 

What? Groups of many shapes and sizes diving into the word and encouraging one another.

Where? Groups can meet in public venues throughout our city, the Church building, workplace and private homes are great too.

When? Many days and times. Each leader determines with their group on those details.

Why? The great commission of Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20) before ascending into heaven was given "to go make disciples" what a blessing it will be when He returns to find us all doing exactly that! Discipleship is a faith-building journey that comes in many forms; prayer, fellowship, breaking of bread (Acts 2:42), and spiritual growth in God's WORD.
